Innkeeper – Shelley Goulding is your hostess. She has dreamt of opening a B&B for years, and finally did it nearly a decade after moving to Seattle. Originally from Hershey, PA, Shelley and her husband Mike Fitzmaurice (who hails from Canada) have also lived in Washington, DC and Denver, CO. Her varied career in communications, meeting planning, and member services inform her current efforts to help visitors enjoy their stay in her adopted hometown. Mike is the silent partner and technical consultant. He’ll make an occasional appearance – possibly wearing his Utilikilt — and can sometimes be engaged in geek talk. Together, Shelley and Mike like to travel and are scheming to get Shelley’s seventh continent stamped on her passport.

Innkeepers’ Helpers – Terrance and Phillip are real dogs, not the stuffed animals that children sometimes mistake them for. Shih Tzus to be exact, rescued from a puppy mill and thoroughly enjoying their lives as the pampered princes. Sorry we can’t offer them as substitutes for your own pet/bedwarmers; they aren’t allowed in the guest rooms, and besides, they’re pretty attached to Shelley. They do get along with people but not other animals, so we’re sorry that we can’t welcome your own pets at 9 Cranes Inn.
