Our early twentieth century Craftsman bed and breakfast welcomes you with warm wood accents and plenty of character. True to the spirit of the Arts & Crafts movement, the tone is simple, not fussy. No doilies here. At our accommodations near downtown Seattle, you can count on beds you won’t want to leave; technology to keep you connected; and hospitality to suit your style. Need a restaurant or jogging route recommendation? We can help. Want to come and go with little fanfare? We’ll leave you alone. Here you will be comfortable and cared-for, but not suffocated.

Why 9 Cranes? Cranes symbolize good things in many cultures: happiness, good fortune, longevity, peace, and wisdom. When you’re here, you can check out the artwork that inspired our name: a very cool silk embroidery of nine red-crowned cranes in a circle.
