Keeping Visitors Dry Since 2011

Big news this week on Seattle’s Phinney Ridge: a double-wide bus shelter was installed near the entrance to The Woodland Park Zoo. The intersection of N 55th Street and Phinney Avenue North is naturally a popular stop on King County Metro’s #5 Bus Route, which runs right past the zoo. This stop is four blocks from 9 Cranes Inn; we have another one just two blocks away — no shelter, but it has a very pleasant planter-box bench to sit on while you wait for the bus, which comes nearly every 15 minutes.

More zoo happenings this week: The baby wallaroo born last September ventured out of its mom’s pouch. Click here  for video of mom Fergie and her joey.
